The War Against Ants!

All of us at some stage have had ant invasions. Sometimes you walk into your kitchen and the place is covered, literally. The thing is they get in everywhere, the kettle, the sugar container and everything else. One has no choice but to throw out the sugar - ever tried picking out hundreds of ants, an impossible task. They’re the opposite of Houdini, they get in everywhere. Ants are as old as the world and will continue to exist, the only way is to control their nests and breeding.

Ant invasions sometimes occur due to excessive rain and they escape indoors. Some homes have them permanently and have tried everything in the book on ant control without success. This is where a proper pest control inspection needs to be done. The ant nests need to be located in order to exterminate them. Ants are quite hardy creatures therefore the correct insecticide should be used to ensure full proper extermination.

Ants tend to favor the kitchen and food is at risk, one is not keen to use insecticides. It’s thought that certain home remedies such as salt, talcum powder and Borax work and are somewhat more environmentally friendly means of pest control. The problem is that it does not get down to the coal face i.e. the ant nests so it’s only the ants on the surface that are “taken out”.

Environmental science has worked for years towards environmental protection and the safety for all. There comes a time and place where something unfortunately has to give, it’s you or the ants. This is when pest control specialists need to be called in to do a full inspection and find the source of the problem.

Unbeknown to you there are actually other pests within your home environment. The pest control management on the pest inspection will come across these other pests. They will be able to make recommendations on possible scenarios of rodent, flea, fly and even the “flying rat” the pigeon.

At one stage Mother Nature could control her creatures; current life style won’t allow it.
